Grade II Listed
External and Internal alterations and refurbishment of A Northamptonshire Manor House.
Extensive external repairs & conservation were carried out whilst Planning Approval & listed Building Consent were sought. The external fabric has been retained essentially in original form, with the internal plan optimised to suit a single family occupation. Our proposals tackled the shortfall in the provision of family living spaces especially at ground floor level in the form of informal living areas. The opening up of the ground floor kitchen area provides informal family living areas with a southerly aspect over the garden and river.
At first floor level provision of a principal bedroom suite and further ensuite facilities upgraded the accommodation to a standard commensurate with the requirements of modern single family occupation in a dwelling of this scale.
The core historic areas of the building remained untouched other than integrating a new electrical and heating installation and the removal of unfortunate 19th & 20th Century `improvements’.
